Previously the charity had a few different publications. They wanted to make them more ‘magazine like’ so they’d be enjoyable to browse through while still having large text and useful information for people who may be digitally excluded. 

We were asked to be flexible with the brand but keep enough few elements to still be recognisable. 

I looked at various different magazines for various different audiences and created this scrapbook of possible templates. The photographs on the ‘Very strong opinions’, ‘Our year in numbers’ and ‘Sports’ spreads are ones that I had taken myself. 

The other designer and I both did research and development to create a scrapbook each. Then we worked together to combine our favourite elements from both to create the final magazine template.
